Rescue Dog Jake Becomes a Firefighter

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Rescued from a fire as a three-month old puppy, Jake was badly burned. When his treatment was over he needed antibiotics during the day.  Not everyone would have adopted the puppy who required extra care but Bill, the firefighter who saved the little guy adopted him.

You don't need to read more from me.  You need to watch this special story from HooplaHa.

You have to wonder why a 3 week old pup was alone in the shed to begin with, where were the dam and any siblings? Out of the fire a new and fr better life than any he might have had otherwise.

I had read this story a few days ago, but seeing this video is really special. I wish every dog that got off to a bad start would have such a happy ending. A blessing for Jake and his new family.

I hadn't read Jake's story prior to viewing the video that you kindly shared with us, Darlene. What a miserable start in life Jake had and, to be honest, maybe that fire was a blessing in disguise. Horrific as it was, at least Jake is now enjoying the benefits of being with a loving family. If only more bad luck stories ended so happily. Thank you so much for sharing this story......it is very much appreciated.

Thank you for your comment, PetShrink. My first thought that it had something to do with a dog fighting ring. I'm glad he was saved.

Thank you for your comment, Lisette. I had actually sat on the story for a couple of days. I knew it wouldn't be new but I wanted to bring the video to my readers and I knew that not everyone would see it at the same time. In this case I didn't care about breaking the story. I thought we needed a "feel good" story for the weekend. I agree with you about every dog having a happy ending.

Thank you, Gordon, for your comment. Yes, that truly was a miserable start for the poor little puppy. He has a wonderful life now and is helping those firefighters as sort of a therapy dog for them when they come back from a difficult fire. I see it as a win/win.
