Dogs are so sweet and funny but when it comes to meals or snacks, they're worse than toddlers. They bounce around, bark, jump, race through the house in sheer glee. Everyone who makes a meal wants it to be received with such enthusiasm, however, it's much nicer if your dog learns to sit and wait until dinner is in the dish, in place, and he has been told it's time to eat. Manners should be taught to pets as well as children.
Here are a few overly-enthusiastic dogs in video from HooplaHa;

That's so adorable! My boy will run in circles to show his happiness. However, if we are in the kitchen, no matter how hungry he is, he won't eat. Guess who wins that war? Right. We leave.
LOL Thank you so much for sharing, Lisette. He apparently prefers to dine alone. ;-)
I hear what you are saying, Darlene, but these dogs are so entertaining that you have to excuse any apparent lack of good manners. At the end of the video, it showed a German Shepherd about to be fed and, whoever fed the dog merely scattered the dry food all over the ground. Seems to me that someone else there could do with some basic training in good manners......just my opinion.
Our 14 year old Newfoundland Billy used to dance in a circle, but now he just announces LOUDLY when it's mealtime or treat time! And at his age, he gets whatever he wants, of course!!!!!
Thank you for commenting, Gordon. Yes, I certainly agree about that last one!
Lynne, I can just imagine that Newf Dance reduced to announcing that it's his dinnertime. Or treat time. LOL Thank you for sharing!!
Love the antics expressing mealtime or some snack time. One of mine will wait for me to return to the kitchen to start to eat. If I leave he stops eating.
Cute video. However, I must agree with Gordon Brice regarding the throwing the food on the pavement for the shepherd. I have one dog that prefers to eat alone and will carry his treat off to another room to eat it. My other dog, wants human company for his meals and if everyone leaves the room he stops eating. Sometimes he will lie down by his bowl and wait for us to return, but other times he will follow us, leaving his bowl unguarded and easy pickings for the other dog who has long since finished his food in the other room. Such clowns these two are.
Thank you for commenting, Bressler West. You dog sounds adorable - he doesn't want to dine alone!
Thank you, Resccuegal, for describing your dogs' eating habits. They are all such individuals. It's interesting to see which one prefer to have company when they eat - they seem to prefer their humans to their food, while others just can't wait to scarf down a meal whether or not someone is there. LOL
